ActionSA has made an official submission to the Electoral Review Consultation Panel to propose an alternative electoral model for South Africa that will increase voter turnout, enhance the quality of public representatives, and introduce lasting accountability and describing South Africa's proportional electoral system as a "ticking time bomb for our democracy". On the other hand Build One South Africa is advocating for comprehensive electoral reform, including the direct election of the President.
