Award-nominated author Mark Winkler says he relied on factual accounts of one of the last witch trials in England to try and show how even today, people are vilified and "othered" , simply for being different.

His novel, "The Errors of Dr Browne" is up for this years fiction prize at the Sunday Times literary awards in partnership with Exclusive Books.

Using the voice of Dr Thomas Browne, Winkler takes us back in time, while putting present day issues under the microscope.
